Hacking

Hacking
In 2003, a hacker was convicted in
the USA for causing losses of
almost $25 million. The defendant
pleaded guilty to numerous charges
of conspiracy, computer intrusion,
computer fraud, credit card fraud,
wire fraud, and extortion.
The hacker and his accomplices
from Russia had stolen usernames,
passwords, credit card information,
and other financial data by hacking
into computers of US citizens. They
would then extort money from those
victims with the threat of deleting
their data and destroying their
computer systems.

Two arrested in a case involving server ‘hacking’ of NEET PG

Delhi Police have arrested two persons — Abhishek Singh, a native of Varanasi, and Atul Vats, a native of Patna — in a case wherein computer servers were allegedly hacked during the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), held in December 2016 to admit students into postgraduate medical courses.
The two arrests were made on April 10 and the men were taken into police custody for 10 days. Raids are being held in Delhi, Bengaluru, Bihar and other places to nab the rest of the accused, which include some doctors, police said.

“Police received information on January 20 that some people cracked the online medical entrance examination, held between December 5 and December 13, after hacking the servers,” police sources told Indian Express.
